Egy Bell is hiring a Senior C++ Engineer for a multinational telecommunications company locted in Maadi.
About the role:Hands-on C/C++ (C++14 minimum) - proven experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems: packet processing, real-time protocol state machines, or embedded network applications. Python scripting for tooling, test automation, and operational scripts. Strong mastery of memory management, lock-free data structures, CPU cache optimization, and production profiling tools (perf, valgrind, sanitizers) - applies to the C++ core. Experience with CMake build systems and Conan package management. Experience running and debugging C++ services inside Docker containers. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Atlassian Bamboo (plan specs, agent management, build pipelines), Docker multi-stage image builds, and image registries (Artifactory). Infrastructure-as-code experience with Ansible (roles, playbooks, collections) and/or Terraform, including automating RHEL VM provisioning and cluster bootstrapping. Hands-on experience with Napatech (or comparable Smart NIC) packet capture hardware — capture card APIs and driver-level tuning for line-rate capture. Unit and integration testing for microservices and infrastructure-as-code, including contract testing for service boundaries. Ability to translate technical specifications and requirements documents into robust, production-ready implementations. Uses AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) for code generation, test writing, Ansible playbook/Docker Compose YAML authoring, and documentation. Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications:Exposure to telecom/network protocol domain work — session/call correlation, TDR generation, per-protocol state machines (e.g. S1, GTP, Diameter, SIP etc.). Experience with mobile core network signaling protocols across 2G/3G/4G (SS7/MAP, Diameter, GTP-C/GTP-U). Familiarity with C++ serialisation libraries (Message Pack, Protobuf, Avro) and C++ build artefacts (static/dynamic libraries, compiler flags, sanitizers, link-time errors). Experience integrating C++ applications into Docker multi-stage builds.
