Job description

Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management all the time.
Fulfill all reasonable requests from guests, to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
Ensure that our hotels are operated safely, at all times.
Undertake overnight responsibility for reception, checking guests in and out, taking reservations and dealing with all telephone enquiries.
Maintain knowledge of all company promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request.
Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services; be accountable for guests’ safety and comfort.
Complete security checks at hourly intervals throughout the night.
Complete manager’s log book and maintain accurate records of all fire safety checks carried out during the shift.
Undertake additional administration duties, as requested by either the hotel manager or the F&B manager.
Adhere to company policy for reporting accidents and incidents.
Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training, attending courses and completing workbooks.
Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws.
Be involved and contribute at team meetings.
Predict that all activities and purchased equipment and belongings may create disease for the environment; join all activities organized to protect biological diversity and share the responsibilities, including individual responsibilities in order to increase environmental knowledge and carry out necessary trainings.
Provide minimum consumption of currently used items and equipment (paper, printed materials, etc.).
Implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy inside the facility.
Carry on implementing decisions taken for saving energy.
Predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased equipment.
Implement responsibilities to eliminate and collect waste in a proper way, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment.
Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and food safety management systems implemented at the facilities.
Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the industry following theoretical education.
Foreign language: Sufficient level of English and Arabic to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
Courses and training: Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge.
Computer literacy: MS Office applications, front office operating programmes (Fidelio, Opera etc.).
Skills: Expected to have comprehensive technical knowledge and work experience related to the methods, advanced techniques, special equipment and work processes in the related field. Knows, applies and ensures application of all services and product ranges in the related field. Has command of guest profiles.
