- Manage and supervise civil construction activities for underground cable projects.
- Coordinate excavation, trenching, duct banks, joint bays, manholes, cable corridors, road crossings, and reinstatement works.
- Plan and monitor daily construction activities and ensure achievement of project milestones.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Cable Installation teams.
- Supervise and manage civil subcontractors and site construction teams.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and productivity at site.
- Review approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and construction procedures before execution.
- Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, and site-related engineering issues.
- Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with project specifications and approved standards.
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC, client, and consultant and ensure timely closure of NCRs and observations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, excavation safety, permits, temporary works, and site safety procedures.
- Monitor construction progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify potential delays.
- Coordinate work fronts and interfaces between civil construction and underground cable installation activities.
- Coordinate with authorities, utilities, consultants, and other stakeholders as required.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.
- Support the Construction Manager in resource planning, cost control, and productivity improvement.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings, handover documentation, and project close-out activities.
- Identify construction risks, constraints, and potential delays and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper coordination and handover of completed civil work fronts for cable installation.
- Support the Construction Manager in achieving project targets for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule.
