Production Deputy Manager H/F

Poste :

1. Main Mission

The Production Deputy Manager will support the Production Manager in the overall management, supervision, and optimization of production activities. The position is responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost control.

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of production strategies, supervise production teams, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company procedures and industrial standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily production activities.

Ensure production targets, schedules, and quality requirements are achieved.

Supervise and coordinate production teams and ensure effective allocation of manpower and resources.

Monitor production performance, productivity, efficiency, and operational KPIs.

Identify production issues, bottlenecks, and deviations and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with production procedures, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and company policies.

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, Logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

Participate in production planning and workforce planning according to business requirements.

Analyze production data and prepare regular performance reports for management.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste, downtime, and production costs.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of production equipment in coordination with the Maintenance Department.

Participate in root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to production issues.

Train, coach, and develop production supervisors and team leaders.

Monitor employee performance and promote discipline and compliance with company procedures.

Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ensure effective communication between production management and operational teams.

Replace the Production Manager and assume responsibility for production operations when required.

Profil recherché :

3. Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree or equivalent diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Mandatory professional experience in a similar Production Management position, preferably in a large industrial or manufacturing environment.

Proven experience in managing and supervising production teams.

Strong knowledge of production processes, production planning, and industrial performance management.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and KPI management is highly desirable.

Good knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements in an industrial environment.

Fluent English is mandatory.

Knowledge of French and/or Chinese would be an advantage.

Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other production management systems.

5. Experience

Minimum required experience:

Significant experience in a similar position, such as Production Deputy Manager, Production Manager, Production Supervisor, or equivalent management role.

Experience in a large-scale manufacturing or industrial company is preferred.

Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive, electrical/electronic manufacturing, or another high-volume industrial environment would be an advantage.

6. Languages

English: Mandatory – fluent professional level

French: Preferred

Chinese/Mandarin: An advantage

7. Working Conditions

Full-time position.

Based in Kénitra, Morocco.

Position requires regular presence on the production floor and close coordination with operational teams.

Flexibility to work according to production requirements, including shifts when necessary.
