Job Description Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Operational Buyer is responsible for the execution of operational purchasing activities, the management of local suppliers, and compliance with Group, tax, and local legal requirements. The role involves providing effective and responsive purchasing solutions to meet the operational needs of multiple sites and areas of activity.

General responsibilities of the position

Operational purchasing

• Manage end-to-end purchase requests from multiple sites, based on the level of urgency and operational priorities.
• Carry out indirect purchases across different categories such as IT equipment, office supplies, services, fleet management, office facilities and fittings, staff transport and temporary staffing.
• Initiate and manage local consultations, RFQs, tenders and sourcing activities when necessary, and collaborate with the Strategic Buyer on the same activities at WEMEA level for certain categories of global expenditure.
• to put in order forms and ensure the follow-up of deliveries as well as the execution of services on all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing or equivalent field.
• 4-6 years of experience in operational purchasing or supplier management.
• Experience required in a Free Zone environment as well as in import and customs clearance processes.
• Good knowledge of local regulations regarding taxation, legal matters and procurement.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and BI tools.
• Experience with purchasing reporting and analysis tools.
• Good understanding of purchasing, logistics and contract management.
