Assignment

Design in 3D the interior ambient lighting modules (light guides, LED boards, boxes, fixings) and produce the 2D models and plans up to the data release, in connection with the DRE and the style.

Responsibilities

• Modify the parts and assemblies: light guides, diffusers, reflectors, housings, PCB supports, clips and interfaces with door panels, dashboard and console.
• Integrating the module into its vehicle environment: studies of space requirements, clearances and flushness, accessibility for assembly, wiring harness routing.
• Apply the rules of plastic design: draft angles, thicknesses, ribs, parting lines, mold feasibility.
• Create 2D plans with functional dimensioning (GD&T / ISO GPS) and bills of materials.
• Update the data following optical (homognit, luminance) and thermal simulations.
• Prepare project milestone deliverables and manage data in the PDM/PLM (versions, statuses, check-in).
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and exchanges with suppliers and toolmakers. Company description

Skills

• CAD software: CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE or NX (surface and solid design)
• PLM: Enovia, Teamcenter or Windchill
• Design: injection-molded plastic parts, assemblies and vehicle interfaces
• Rating: GD&T, chains of dimensions and tolerances
• Lighting: basic knowledge of optics appreciated (light guides, LEDs, total internal reflection)
• Languages: French and technical English
• Essential skills: rigor, attention to detail, responsiveness to changes, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (optics, electronics, style, quality)

Desired Candidate Profile

Profile

• Bac+2/3 (BTS CPI, BUT GMP) Bac+5 in mechanical design.
• 1-3 years of experience in automotive design, ideally in lighting or interior plastic parts.
