Job Description

As part of its railway engineering activities, we are looking for a Control-Command engineer to contribute to the development, analysis and validation of the functions of the Informatis Troubleshooting Guide (GDI).

The consultant will be involved in analyzing the behavior of the train's systems, identifying degraded modes and formalizing troubleshooting procedures to facilitate the diagnosis of anomalies and support the driver in the actions to be taken.

Main tasks:

- Analyze the train functions and the interactions between the different subsystems in order to identify the degraded modes and their operational consequences.

- to study the functional anomalies and defects detected during testing or reported by the project teams.

- to develop and update troubleshooting guides, GDA files and troubleshooting diagrams associated with train functions.

- Define and formalize troubleshooting procedures, conditions of application and actions to be carried out according to identified anomalies.

- Analyze existing technical and functional documentation to ensure the consistency of GDI deliverables with system requirements.

- Participate in document reviews with the system, validation, testing teams and the relevant client contacts.

- Monitor change requests (CR) and analyze their impact on the documentation and functions concerned.

- Analyze test results, contribute to the investigation of anomalies and ensure the updating of impact documents.

- Guarantee the quality, consistency and traceability of technical deliverables in accordance with project processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Required technical skills:

Railway engineering:

- Knowledge of the functional architecture of a train and its subsystems.

- Understanding of on-board control systems and TCMS (Train Control and Monitoring System).

- Ability to analyze the modes of degradation and the functional interactions between equipment.

- Understanding of the principles of railway diagnosis and troubleshooting.

System engineering and documentation:

- Analysis of requirements and functional documentation.

- Drafting of procedures, troubleshooting guides and functional synoptic diagrams.

- Management of document changes and traceability of modifications.

- Participation in technical reviews and anomaly analyses.

Tools :

- Spectrail.

- UML and functional modeling tools.

- Jira and ClearQuest for tracking anomalies and change requests.

- Tools for managing and reviewing technical documentation.
