Rig Manager

About the Role

H&P is seeking a Rig Manager to join their team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves overseeing rig operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing personnel and third-party contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and audit adherence to core HSE processes, including **, Lifebelts, written safe work procedures, and POMS.
• Support personnel during non-routine tasks and major repair activities by assisting with pre-job planning and safety meetings.
• Facilitate on-boarding, pre-tour, pre-job, and weekly safety meetings; participate in hazardous operations as a safety observer.
• Promote the use of H&P’s Actively * programs and actively facilitate and observe the use of Pre-Job Planning tools such as Compass Cards, eJSA’s, Flex Checks, and Video JSA’s.
• Support injury case management and serve as a liaison with occupational and emergency medical services for work-related injuries or illnesses.
• Maintain all occupational and emergency medical services’ documents in accordance with company policies and Saudi legislation.
• Assist in completing required HSE reporting processes, including inspections, audits, negative events, good catches, and rewards & recognition reports.
• Participate in *** conversations, using the CAR and CAR/AR model.
• Assist all H&P employees through mentoring and coaching, providing additional support to New to Position and Short Service Employees.
• Manage third-party trainings as per Aramco requirements to maintain the training matrix.
• Serve as a liaison with Aramco Compliance, Aramco HSE, and Aramco occupational health during audits and inspections.
• Investigate accidents/injuries, submit reports to the Operations Manager, and assist the lead investigator on SIF investigations; participate in tap root investigations.
• Track and encourage crew to complete pending Workday trainings.
• Facilitate Weekly RSMT’s at Main Camp.
• Manage third-party subcontractors related to H2S equipment, rig movers, and catering.
• Conduct audits on rig moves and LOTO.
• Work with Rig Managers in assigning mentors to Short Service Employees (SSE’s).
• Manage third-party equipment inspections and emission tests.
• Submit monthly reports as required.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Rig Manager position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in rig operations and management. A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly within the Saudi context, is essential.
