This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee,
FAS Hospitality Company L.L.C
.
The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Job Summary:
To maximize revenue through increased bookings from sales and catering opportunities.
Provide an efficient and effective
process to quickly handle customer enquiries, qualify and close business opportunity within predefined parameters.
Communicate booking information to Event Managers.
Effectively present and sell the hotel to meet customer needs.
Respond to enquiries/requests for group and catering business in a timely manner. Define meeting specifics.
Suggest positive alternatives and ensure that business booked is within hotel parameters.
Process all correspondence within acceptable time limits.
Manage and maintain account files.
Produce contracts, BEO’s and other related booking tools.
Prepare all sales documentation accurately.
Ensure complete and efficient turnover to Event Manager.
Works closely with Senior Sales Manager to facilitate customer bookings.
Achieve established revenue goals and report monthly.
Be able to utilize his/her selling skills to book all aspects of meeting in one phone call.
Proficient in meeting room set-ups, audio-visual and other support services.
Have knowledge/appreciation of MHRS brand culture, philosophies and initiatives.
Understand the contract management and legalities.
Ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiation
Maximize revenue by up selling packages and creative food and beverage options.
Implement & execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set
Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures and Local Hotel SOPs
Experience:
• Previous experience working within the same role for at least 2 years.
Skills and Knowledge
• Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
• Innovative
• Retail merchandising skills
• Knowledge of group, extended stay, leisure, business transient and contract customer profiles
• Pro-active and reliable
• Enthusiastic, courteous and helpful to colleagues & customers
• Good understanding of the hotel operation and local competitors
• Recognizing and understanding differences and trends
• Able to work alone and within a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Advanced computer skills
Education or Certification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related preferred
• Excellent Command of English Language
