Field Operator

About the Role

Acwa is seeking a Field Operator to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves monitoring operational parameters and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant systems. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor operational parameters of the system locally and coordinate with the CCR Operator for all activities affecting plant operations.
• Ensure safe startup and shutdown of the plant in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Comply with safety rules and regulations and be familiar with firefighting equipment in the assigned area.
• Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor / Shift Charge Engineer and CCR Operator.
• Be familiar with plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, basic control logics, emergency operating procedures, and related documents.
• Record periodic readings in log sheets and summarize all shift activities and events in the logbook.
• Inspect plant areas and auxiliaries to ensure equipment parameters remain within limits and report any abnormalities immediately to the CCR Operator.
• Perform equipment changeovers according to preset schedules and raise work requests or defect notes for malfunctioning equipment.
• Coordinate with the CCR Operator / Shift Supervisor for isolation and line-up of equipment and systems before and after maintenance.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure cleanup after maintenance activities.
• Assist in training and familiarization of new operators.
• Report near misses and implement prescribed risk control measures.
• Report deviations related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
• Ensure proper waste identification, handling, and disposal.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation in plant operations and adherence to safety and operational protocols.
