• Diagnose and repair complex chiller system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on various chiller types, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan through meticulous inspections and adjustments.
• Conduct system start-ups and commissioning for new chiller installations, verifying proper operation and adherence to design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues within chiller units, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers, educating them on system operation, maintenance best practices, and potential upgrades.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and customer interactions for record-keeping and analysis.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability for immediate repairs and efficient job completion.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others during all service activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to provide feedback on product performance and customer needs, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chiller technology, industry trends, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and self-study.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically servicing and repairing industrial and commercial chillers.
• EPA Universal Certification (or equivalent) for handling refrigerants is mandatory.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control system diagrams.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and refrigeration cycles as they apply to chiller systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-based control systems and VFDs commonly found in modern chillers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and explaining technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, often under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
• Physical stamina to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms, and lift up to 50 lbs.
