The job objective is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment across various construction sites, directly supervise contractors' and workers' compliance with occupational safety standards, and reduce construction-related falls and injuries to ensure the project proceeds without interruption. Assigned tasks and responsibilities

• High-altitude work safety: Inspecting scaffolding, work platforms, and safety harnesses, and ensuring the strict application of fall protection systems.
• Excavation and earthworks management: Monitoring excavation processes, ensuring side support, preventing soil collapse or water ingress, and securing surrounding areas.
• Heavy machinery monitoring: Supervising the movement of cranes, bulldozers, and heavy equipment, and ensuring operators are qualified and hold the necessary licenses.
• HSE Plan management: Preparing and updating the safety plan for each construction site and obtaining approval from the project consultant or the owner.
  

Specific requirements and qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Safety, Mechanical, or Electrical) with specialized courses in construction safety.
  
• Preferred certifications: NEBOSH IGC or OSHA Construction (specific to construction, not general industry).
• Skills: Ability to work in the field under various weather conditions and a strong personality to exercise Stop Work Authority for any activities that pose an immediate threat to workers' lives.
