Job description
we are hiring an Assistant Cost Accountant in Jeddah. The role supports product costing, production cost analysis, and inventory valuation in coordination with the Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update product cost sheets and bills of materials (BOM).
- Calculate raw material, labor, machine, and manufacturing overhead costs.
- Compare actual production costs with standard or budgeted costs and analyze variances.
- Support the valuation of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Review costing data in the ERP system and prepare periodic reports.
- Assist with month-end costing and inventory reconciliation.
Skills
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of accounting experience; cost accounting experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup and calculation functions.
- Experience with an ERP system; Odoo experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good English communication skills.
