Barista

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of coffee brewing techniques be familiar with different types of coffee beans and their unique flavor profiles and be able to operate espresso machines and other necessary equipment. A strong commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills are a must as is the ability to handle orders efficiently and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Purpose

The main objective of the Barista is to prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages. Through exemplary customer service and a deep knowledge of coffee the Barista will ensure a satisfying coffee experience for every customer. This role requires the ability to skillfully operate espresso machines and other equipment as well as effectively handle orders and maintain a clean organized workspace.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso beverages
• Demonstrating skills in coffee brewing techniques and understanding of different coffee beans and their flavor profiles
• Operating espresso machines and other equipment effectively
• Providing excellent customer service and displaying strong communication skills when interacting with customers
• Handling customer orders efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista preferably in a hotel café or restaurant environment.

• Good knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation.

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment.

• Knowledge of different types of coffee beans and their flavor profiles.

• Ability to prepare a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages according to standards.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Good communication skills and a positive professional attitude.

• Ability to handle multiple orders efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to maintain a clean organized and hygienic workstation.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow operational and food safety standards.

• Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and holidays.
