Role Summary

As the Recreation Manager at SLS The Red Sea, you will lead the resort’s recreation offerings. This full-time role involves overseeing the Kids & Teens Club, pool and beach activities, fitness facilities, sports courts, and general resort programming. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Recreation operation, including Kids & Teens Club, pool and beach recreation, fitness and gym areas, sports courts, and resort activities.
• Develop and deliver a daily, weekly, and seasonal recreation calendar that includes sports, fitness, leisure, cultural, family, and lifestyle experiences.
• Oversee Kids & Teens Club programming, ensuring activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and comply with safeguarding and safety standards.
• Create pool, beach, fitness, and sports programming, introducing new concepts that align with the destination and the SLS brand.
• Lead, schedule, train, and develop the Recreation team to ensure guest engagement, appropriate coverage, and high service standards.
• Maintain a presence across recreation areas, engaging with guests, monitoring participation, and using feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all recreation facilities, activity spaces, and equipment are safe, clean, properly maintained, and operationally ready.
• Establish and maintain health, safety, child safeguarding, emergency, and risk-management procedures for all recreation activities.
• Plan and coordinate special events, tournaments, themed activities, holiday programs, and family experiences in collaboration with other hotel departments.
• Partner with Marketing and operational teams to integrate recreation programming into the wider guest experience.
• Manage departmental staffing, expenses, equipment, inventory, and purchasing in line with operational requirements and approved budgets.
• Coordinate external instructors, suppliers, and third-party activity providers, ensuring compliance with service, safety, and brand standards.
• Maintain accurate schedules, participation records, inspections, incident reports, training records, and departmental documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SLS standards, hotel policies, and applicable health, safety, security, and local regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in recreation management or a related field.
• Demonstrated operational leadership in managing diverse recreation facilities and programs.
• Experience in developing engaging experiences for various age groups.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position at SLS The Red Sea, where the focus is on delivering guest experiences through recreation. The role involves leading a team and managing various recreational facilities within a resort setting.
