Job description
Ground Equipment for Environmental Solutions (GEES) is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to develop new business opportunities and expand our customer base in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the heavy equipment, waste management, and environmental solutions sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the target market.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Conduct field visits and meet with customers to understand their requirements.
- Develop and maintain an active customer database within the relevant industry.
- Identify potential projects, tenders, companies, and decision-makers.
- Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into business.
- Present GEES products and equipment solutions to prospective customers.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate with customers and follow opportunities through to successful deal closure.
- Monitor market developments, competitors, and new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with sales, technical, and supplier teams to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare regular business development and activity reports for management.
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
- Achieve assigned business development and revenue targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the heavy equipment industry is mandatory.
- Experience in heavy equipment, waste management, environmental equipment, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of the Saudi market.
- Existing customer database and established relationships with relevant customers are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong field-sales and customer-visit experience.
- Ability to understand equipment applications and technical specifications.
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Experience dealing with companies, contractors, project owners, and other B2B customers.
- Strong market research and opportunity-identification skills.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia when required.
- Engineering or technical background is preferred.
