Professional accounting certification such as CMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
3–5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, project accounting, or financial accounting.
Experience in project-based, construction, contracting, manufacturing, or similar industries is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate cost accounting records and reports.
Monitor project, operational, material, labor, and overhead costs.
Analyze actual costs against budgets, forecasts, and approved estimates.
Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analysis.
Investigate significant cost variances and provide explanations and recommendations.
Allocate direct and indirect costs to projects, departments, and cost centers.
Monitor project profitability, cost-to-complete, and budget utilization.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cost projections.
Review purchase orders, invoices, timesheets, payroll costs, and other supporting documents to ensure correct cost allocation.
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, HR, Operations, and Project teams to validate cost information.
Track commitments, accruals, provisions, and outstanding costs.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation of costs in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Maintain proper supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Prepare management reports and financial analysis as required.
Ensure timely and accurate posting and reconciliation of cost-related transactions.
Support project teams in monitoring financial performance and controlling costs.
Perform any other finance and cost-control duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
