KnowledgeCity is seeking to recruit a qualified Restaurant Accountant to join its finance team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The candidate must have practical accounting experience within the restaurant sector and proficiency in using the Foodics system to manage sales and daily operations.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review daily sales and reconcile them with Foodics system reports, cash collections, and electronic payments.

• Prepare daily cash register closing reports, review financial discrepancies, and handle their resolution.

• Monitor food and beverage costs, analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), and track food cost percentages.

• Monitor inventory, item movements, purchases, and waste, conduct periodic stock counts, and analyze inventory variances.

• Review supplier invoices, reconcile them with purchase orders, and follow up on payables.

• Reconcile sales settlements and commissions for food delivery platforms, such as Jahez, Hungerstation, and Keeta.

• Prepare periodic financial reports and analyze revenues, expenses, and branch financial performance.

• Perform bank reconciliations, review expenses, and assist in monthly accounting closes.

• Monitor VAT compliance and ensure adherence to accounting and tax regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least three years of practical accounting experience, preferably in restaurants or the food and beverage (F&B) sector.

• Proven hands-on experience using the Foodics system for POS management, reporting, and sales reconciliation.

• Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting, F&B costing, and inventory management.

• Experience in bank reconciliations, auditing cash/electronic collections, and delivery platform settlements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting, and financial analysis.

• Knowledge of VAT requirements and accounting practices in Saudi Arabia.

• High accuracy, ability to analyze financial variances, and commitment to meeting reporting deadlines.
