KnowledgeCity is seeking to attract a qualified Restaurant Accountant to join its finance team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The candidate must have practical accounting experience in the restaurant sector and proficiency in using the Foodics system for managing sales and daily operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Review daily sales and reconcile them with Foodics system reports, cash collections, and electronic payments.
• Prepare daily register closing reports, review financial variances, and resolve them.
• Monitor food and beverage costs and analyze the cost of goods sold and food cost percentages.
• Track inventory, item movements, purchases, and wastage, perform periodic stock counts, and analyze inventory variances.
• Review supplier invoices, match them with purchase orders, and follow up on payables.
• Reconcile sales settlements and commissions for delivery platforms, such as Jahez, HungerStation, and Keeta.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and analyze revenue, expenses, and financial performance across branches.
• Perform bank reconciliations, review expenses, and contribute to monthly financial closing.
• Track VAT and comply with applicable accounting and tax requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounting, preferably in the restaurant or food and beverage (F&B) sector.
• Hands-on practical experience in using the Foodics system for POS management, reporting, and sales auditing.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting, food and beverage costing, and inventory management.
• Experience in bank reconciliations, auditing cash and electronic collections, and delivery platform settlements.
• Proficiency in Excel and in preparing financial reports and analysis.
• Knowledge of VAT requirements and accounting practices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• High accuracy, ability to analyze financial variances, and commitment to reporting deadlines.
