Operations Manager at Havelock One Interiors

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading operational activities to ensure successful project delivery, maintaining high standards of quality, and maximizing client satisfaction within budget constraints. The manager will work closely with project and commercial teams to achieve these objectives.

Role Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to securing and executing building contracts. This includes ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality, and within budget. The role requires monthly collaboration with Project Managers and commercial teams for Cost/Value reconciliations, ensuring contract obligations are met, services are delivered efficiently, and all risks are identified and managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct contract review, negotiations, and project execution planning.
• Understand performance targets, identifying and managing potential risks and opportunities.
• Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, performance requirements, and subcontractor selection.
• Compile procurement schedules and coordinate with Project Managers and commercial teams on site supply and specialist requirements, including deadlines.
• Develop and implement project strategy and programs, interrogating progress reports and initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Represent the company at site meetings when required.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained throughout project construction.
• Monitor site practices and routines to ensure compliance with company procedures and practices.
• Lead project handover and ensure defect/snag-free completion, implementing a robust strategy for defect closure and certification.
• Develop project management and installation capabilities across different regions of Saudi Arabia.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
• Monitor methods and output to achieve required quality standards at minimum cost.
• Develop, nurture, and manage client and supply chain relationships.
• Oversee construction sites and manage vendors and trades.
• Monitor organization and methods for maximum efficiency and resource utilization (labor, materials, equipment).
• Lead and motivate the delivery team, ensuring its balance and shape to manage workload.
• Recruit, reward, retain, and develop team members, fostering continuous professional development and maximizing their potential.
• Share best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• A proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects that exceed client expectations.
• Experience of over 10 years in controlling costs, timing, and quality in line with targets.
• Ability to resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues on site.
• Good knowledge of the Fit-Out market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multinational market environment.
• Proven experience in managing teams, supply chains, direct employees, and consultants.
