Consultant – General Ophthalmology

Elite Medical is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist specialized in General Ophthalmology to join our expanding ophthalmology services in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced consultant with strong expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, who is committed to providing outstanding patient care and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and diagnose a wide range of eye conditions.

* Manage common ophthalmic diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, dry eye disease, and other anterior and posterior segment conditions within the scope of practice.

* Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate medical and surgical management.

* Perform ophthalmic procedures and cataract surgery in accordance with clinical privileges and professional expertise.

* Identify complex cases requiring subspecialty intervention and coordinate appropriate referrals.

* Provide expert clinical assessments and ensure continuity of patient care.

* Maintain accurate medical records and comply with established clinical standards.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

* Medical Degree (MD or equivalent).

* Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program.

* Valid SCFHS classification as a Consultant Ophthalmologist or eligibility for Consultant-level classification.

* Proven clinical expertise in general ophthalmology.

* Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

* Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
