About the Role

Ma’aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Sustainability & Energy Solutions to advance the company's sustainability and resource growth objectives. This full-time role focuses on identifying opportunities to enhance energy efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and improve environmental performance across all operations. The position involves transforming operational and sustainability data into actionable insights to support informed decision-making and value creation.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Senior Specialist will contribute to the implementation of sustainability initiatives that boost operational performance, reduce resource intensity, and align with Ma’aden's long-term environmental and transformation goals. Through rigorous analysis and cross-functional collaboration, this role supports the adoption of innovative technologies and practices to improve sustainability outcomes and business resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver insights to improve energy efficiency, resource utilization, and sustainability performance across assigned initiatives.
• Identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis and benchmarking.
• Establish performance baselines, indicators, and tracking mechanisms for measurable sustainability outcomes.
• Deliver sustainability and energy optimization initiatives to achieve targeted operational and environmental benefits.
• Support pilot programs, proof-of-concepts, and implementation activities to accelerate innovation adoption.
• Provide technical and economic analysis to strengthen prioritization and investment decisions.
• Produce accurate dashboards, reports, and performance insights for effective management decisions.
• Translate complex technical and operational data into practical recommendations and business actions.
• Support business case development through benchmarking, analysis, and evidence-based evaluation.
• Advance opportunities to improve sustainability performance, energy efficiency, and resource effectiveness.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry practices that support operational improvement and sustainability goals.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable value and long-term impact.
• Build effective partnerships across operations, engineering, sustainability, and Technology & Innovation functions.
• Enable alignment between stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of sustainability initiatives.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, awareness, and engagement activities to strengthen sustainability adoption.
• Ensure sustainability activities align with environmental regulations, ESG requirements, and corporate governance standards.
• Strengthen audit readiness through effective documentation, reporting, and evidence management.
• Build organizational capability through knowledge sharing, tools, templates, and best-practice development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience supporting sustainability, energy optimization, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience in performance analytics, reporting, and business insight generation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams on operational or transformation projects.
