Procurement Engineer - مهندس مشتريات

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This entry-level role offers an opportunity to develop foundational procurement skills within a dynamic organization. The successful candidate will support sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and cost-control initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase requisitions, supplier selection, and purchase orders.
• Support sourcing activities for indirect and direct materials, goods, and services in line with defined specifications
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance evaluation processes.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and escalate issues to ensure timely procurement and minimal production disruption.
• Assist with price and contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and cost savings opportunities.
• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for savings, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Process purchase orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Track purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and monitor delivery status
• Coordinate with suppliers and forwarders for shipping arrangements
• Check Shipping documents for each order and make sure it’s accurately correct
• Apply for Saber approval for each import shipment
• Support import activities, customs clearance follow-ups and logistic coordination
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations
• Collaborate with Production, Finance, Warehouse and other departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports and documentation
• Create and process Purchase Orders in Odoo
• Prepare procurement reports including PO status, delivery status, and supplier performance

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain,or related field
• 2 to 6 years of experience in procurement and logistics
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of international procurement regulations, Incoterms
• Knowledge of refrigeration engineering materials is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP/Procurement systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
