Operations Manager – Supermarket Chain and Food Products

Number of Branches: More than 130 branches

A leading company in the retail and food sector seeks an experienced Operations Manager to supervise the operation of a network comprising over 130 branches, achieving growth in sales and profitability, enhancing operational efficiency, and standardizing performance and quality metrics across all branches.

Job Objective

Comprehensive management of branch operations, achieving targeted sales and financial objectives, controlling inventory and costs, improving customer experience, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

· Supervise the operation of all branches and ensure the application of unified operational policies and standards.

· Lead area and branch managers, evaluate performance, and develop leadership competencies.

· Develop operational plans and monitor performance indicators and manage deviations.

· Improve sales and profit margins while reducing operational expenses.

· Manage inventory and supply chains, minimizing waste and loss, and reducing shrinkage and discrepancies.

· Ensure the quality of fresh products and compliance with food safety and storage regulations.

· Enhance employee productivity and improve customer service and shopping experience.

· Utilize ERP and POS systems and analytical reports to support operational decisions.

· Oversee the opening of new branches according to company standards.

· Coordinate with finance, human resources, marketing, and procurement departments.

Skills

Required Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Operations Management or Supply Chain Management or a related field.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the retail sector, including 5 years in a leadership position.

· Direct experience in managing supermarket chains or hypermarkets with multiple branches, preferably managing 100 branches or more.

· Strong experience in managing sales and profitability, inventory, costs, and operational teams.

· Familiarity with ERP and POS systems, data analysis, and report preparation.

· Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to plan, make decisions, and manage crises.

· Proficiency in Arabic, and proficiency in English is preferred.
