Job Summary

The Store Keeper in an event industry workshop is responsible for managing the receipt storage maintenance and issuance of materials tools and equipment used for events exhibitions and fit-out projects. This role ensures that all necessary items are available on time properly organized and well- maintained to ensure smooth event production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving Issuing & Dispatch
Receive Goods: Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
Issue Materials: Release materials and tools to production installation and site teams based on approved requests.
Logistics Support: Coordinate the packing and loading of equipment for transport to event venues.
Returns Management: Process returned items from event sites inspecting them and returning them to proper storage.

2. Inventory Control & Management
Track Stock Levels: Maintain accurate up-to-date records of all materials tools equipment and consumables.
Inventory Audits: Conduct regular daily and monthly physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records.
Stock Organization: Arrange label and identify stock items for quick retrieval.
Monitor Stock Levels: Prevent shortages or overstocking of critical materials and manage stock aging to avoid waste.

3. Workshop & Safety Maintenance
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean organized and safe warehouse/workshop area.
Asset Care: Inspect equipment for damage ensuring tools are safe for use.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to fire safety regulations and handle hazardous or heavy materials properly.

4. Documentation & Reporting
Record Keeping: Maintain stock registers bin cards and computerized records of all transactions.
Reporting: Prepare daily weekly and monthly stock reports for management.
Documentation: Process Material Received Reports (MRR) and Stock Issue Vouchers (SIV).

Qualifications :

Required Qualification & Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience as a store keeper preferably in an event fabrication environment.
Bachelor degree/diploma or equivalent is required in warehouse / logistics management business administration or any related field.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft office.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team under high-pressure deadline-driven scenarios.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities to handle tight deadlines and unexpected last-minute project changes.
Basic understanding of event construction materials (welding carpentry printing foam fabric).
Proactive solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information :

Typical Working Conditions
Environment: Must be able to work in a workshop environment which may include loud noise dust and heat with some on-site installation work.
Hours: May require working evenings weekends and holidays to meet event deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines and to work on site which may include lifting standing for long periods and working in varied conditions.
