AI/LLM Engineer

About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking an AI/LLM Engineer to join a full-time position in Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on the development, deployment, and evaluation of an Arabic AI tutor for mathematics and computer science. The position is part of the RDIA-funded project 5870, titled “An AI-Powered Arabic Tutoring Platform for STEM Education in the Kingdom.” Two engineers will be hired for this role.

Project Context

The primary objective of this project is to build an Arabic AI tutor that will be integrated into a learning platform for a pilot program in at least 10 Saudi schools. The work involves preparing Arabic training data, fine-tuning, aligning, and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs) using advanced computing platforms such as Shaheen III and Ibex.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Arabic training datasets from educational materials and consented platform interactions.
• Fine-tune, align, and evaluate commercial and open-source LLMs using Shaheen III and Ibex computing platforms.
• Develop Arabic STEM benchmarks, preference-training methods, and student-safety guardrails.
• Integrate AI tutoring capabilities into the learning platform, including Arabic right-to-left interfaces.
• Deploy and optimize models for reliable, low-latency real-time interactions.
• Support school pilot implementation, evaluation, and teacher feedback collection.
• Ensure student data privacy and compliance with Saudi data protection requirements.
• Contribute to research publications, technical reports, and project deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 years.
• Demonstrated ability to work with AI and LLM technologies.
• Familiarity with data preparation and model evaluation processes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, contributing to a significant educational technology project. The role involves collaboration within a project team focused on advancing STEM education through AI.
