Job Title: Legal Specialist — Recent Graduate

Job Summary:

Rasikh Advocates and Legal Consultants is seeking a recent law graduate to join its team, contributing to case study, conducting legal research, and drafting documents under the supervision of specialized lawyers.

The role aims to support lawyers in research and preparatory work, and to provide accurate and organized legal information that supports case handling and the delivery of efficient services to clients. Success in this position is achieved through quality research and analysis, precision in drafting and documentation, adherence to deadlines, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial interviews with clients, listen to the details of their matters, receive relevant documents, and prepare a summary of the facts and client needs for presentation to the relevant lawyer, while informing the client that their matter and documents will be reviewed in preparation for a response, without providing legal advice during the initial reception.

• Study case files and documents, and prepare summaries detailing the facts, requests, legal issues, and missing documents.

• Research defenses and relevant legal arguments related to cases, identify strengths, weaknesses, and issues requiring further research, and present findings to the relevant lawyer.

• Conduct research on regulations, bylaws, judicial rulings, and principles, and verify the validity of texts and the accuracy of citations.

• Prepare initial drafts of legal memoranda, regulations, and correspondence in accordance with the guidance and review of lawyers.

• Prepare concise research and reports on legal topics required by the firm, with documented sources and clearly drafted findings.

• Contribute to the review of contracts and legal documents, noting observations and clauses that require the review of the relevant lawyer.

• Organize case files and index documents, and prepare chronologies of facts and document tables to facilitate easy reference.

• Monitor legal developments and judicial principles relevant to the firm's business, and prepare summaries of their potential impacts.

• Contribute to the development of an internal knowledge base including research, templates, and legal references, and update them in an organized manner.

• Coordinate with the work team to complete necessary information and documents, and accomplish tasks according to priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies.

• This position is suitable for recent graduates; no prior practical experience is required.

• Knowledge of the basics of Saudi regulations and judicial procedures, and the ability to refer to official sources.

• Skill in legal research, analyzing facts, and linking them to relevant texts and arguments.

• Proficiency in Arabic, with sound drafting and spelling skills, and the ability to prepare clear and organized summaries and memoranda.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with sound drafting skills.

• Skill in listening, asking questions, gathering information, and professional interaction with clients.

• Accuracy and attention to detail, especially when reviewing names, dates, documents, and legal references.

• Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and handle multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, and electronic search and file management tools.

• Communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop performance.
