About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join a company operating in engineering consultancy and real estate development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring project schedules for high-rise, residential, and commercial developments, tracking progress, and analyzing schedule variances to support delivery in line with approved plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update master and detailed project schedules to reflect actual progress.
• Review contractors’ schedules and verify activity logic, sequencing, and alignment with project requirements.
• Monitor design, permitting, tendering, procurement, construction, and handover milestones, ensuring coordination of schedule dependencies.
• Analyze critical paths and schedule variances, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Measure actual progress against planned targets and prepare periodic progress reports and project performance dashboards.
• Monitor resource plans and long-lead procurement schedules in coordination with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Assess the scheduling impact of changes and contribute to delay analysis and the review of extension-of-time requests in accordance with contract documentation.
• Prepare clear management reports covering schedule status, constraints, and recommendations to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, including direct experience in high-rise, residential, and commercial projects.
• Experience within an engineering consultancy or real estate development environment, with a clear understanding of coordination requirements between clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel for scheduling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of critical path analysis, progress measurement, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and contract documents and translate project requirements into coordinated schedules.
• Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as PMP or PMI-SP, are an advantage.
