Electrical Technical Engineer

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking an Electrical Technical Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role involves supervising and following up on electrical draftsmen's work schedules, as well as verifying and checking electrical shop drawings and technical submittals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with relevant design drawings, specifications, and details, coordinating with all other disciplines.
• Ensure efficient drawing submission within the target schedule and to the highest quality.
• Verify that shop drawings comply with local authorities' jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work, including Health and Safety standards, QCS2014, and project specifications.
• Maintain adherence to the Company's relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensure satisfaction of the client, consultant, main contractor, and MEP project manager/CM at all times.
• Guide technical engineers/draftsmen through work activities management processes during the project engineering phase, assigning specific targets.
• Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.
• Review and approve Electrical shop drawings before submission.
• Review and approve Electrical design calculations before submission.
• Review and sign-off Electrical material technical submittals before issuance to the consultant.
• Review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications and authorities.
• Liaise with other technical departments (architect, structural, etc.) for relevant reviews and approvals.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant technical engineering role. A strong understanding of electrical systems, shop drawings, and technical submittals is required. Familiarity with local authority regulations and industry standards such as QCS2014 is essential.

This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, where the Electrical Technical Engineer will work collaboratively with various technical departments and project stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with all relevant standards and procedures.
