About the Role
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Product Quality - Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience, focusing on developing and maintaining quality assurance and control procedures for renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure the quality of solar PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, transformers, cables, switchgear, BESS equipment, and other project materials.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and method statements.
- Conduct incoming material inspections, supplier quality assessments, factory inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, procurement, engineering, construction, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and verify compliance with approved specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
- Identify, document, and resolve non-conformities (NCRs), implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and perform root cause analysis.
- Conduct supplier audits, quality inspections, and product performance assessments.
- Verify material test certificates, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable IEC, ASTM, and other relevant industry standards.
- Monitor product defects, failure trends, reliability issues, and supplier performance, and recommend improvement measures.
- Prepare quality reports, inspection records, audit findings, and project quality documentation.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities by ensuring that quality requirements are fulfilled.
- Promote continuous improvement, risk prevention, and quality awareness across project teams.
