Job description

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Technician to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for operating conventional lathe machines, machining metal components, and manufacturing precision parts according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional (manual) lathe machines.
• Manufacture and repair industrial machine parts, shafts, bushings, and mechanical components.
• Perform turning, facing, threading, boring, and drilling operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Maintain machines and follow workplace safety procedures.

Skills

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating conventional lathe machines.
• Strong experience in metal machining and industrial fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
• Experience in manufacturing machine spare parts and precision components.
• Good knowledge of machining tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• CNC lathe experience is an advantage.
• Previous experience in industrial equipment manufacturing is preferred.
