Job Title: Principal Software Engineer – C2 / C4I & Air Defense Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of complex software systems for C2, C4I, and Air Defense solutions. The role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, system integration, and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of critical software components using Java and/or C++.
• Lead system integration with radars, sensors, weapon systems, communication networks, and external C2 systems.
• Drive technical planning, code reviews, testing, and software quality standards.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, security, and real-time processing.
• Support technical proposals, solution design, and effort estimation.
• Lead troubleshooting, system verification, and acceptance testing.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in Defense, C2/C4I, or Air Defense systems.
• Proven technical leadership and hands-on system integration experience in mission-critical environments.
• Expert knowledge of Java and/or modern C++, distributed systems, networking protocols, and software architecture.
• Experience with middleware, databases, Linux, Develops, automated testing, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and travel to customer sites when required.
