AB Seaman / Able Seaman (Zamil Offshore )

About the Role

GREENLAND GROUP is seeking an AB Seaman / Able Seaman for Zamil Offshore operations in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing routine deck operations and ensuring adherence to QHSE standards, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine works as instructed by the Master and Chief Marine Superintendent.
• Obey all lawful commands and report aboard at agreed times, remaining on board unless relieved by the Master.
• Execute duties on deck in accordance with safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Respond positively to any discipline.
• Keep sea watches as lookouts or helmsmen.
• Assist with mooring, un-mooring, and other operations.
• Handle stores and garbage as directed.
• Clean accommodation, toilets, and mess rooms.
• Perform other jobs assigned by the Tug Master.

QHSE Compliance

• Perform activities to ensure compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Utilize appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and general hygiene.
• Familiarize oneself with details of emergency stations and procedures.

Policies and Procedures Adherence

The AB Seaman will follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Continuous Improvement and Safety

This role involves contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, with consideration for global standards, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction. The incumbent will also maintain awareness of all health and safety rules applicable to assigned tasks and tools to ensure safe working practices are observed.

Experience Required

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar maritime role.
