Role Description This full-time Tech Journalist role is an on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Tech Journalist will research and write news articles, features, and analysis on technology, innovation, and digital transformation across the region. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring industry developments, conducting interviews with experts and executives, and producing clear, accurate, and engaging content in line with editorial guidelines. The role involves attending press conferences and events, preparing press-related materials, collaborating with editors and multimedia teams, and contributing ideas for story angles and editorial calendars. The Tech Journalist will help shape Technology Arabia’s coverage and ensure stories are published on schedule across digital platforms.
Qualifications

• Strong writing and news writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and accurate technology-focused content.
• Experience in handling press releases, including reviewing, adapting, and creating media-ready announcements and statements.
• Solid research skills for fact-checking, sourcing information, and developing data-driven stories on technology and innovation.
• Exposure to broadcasting or multimedia storytelling, such as video scripts, podcasts, or on-camera segments, is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Demonstrated interest in technology, digital transformation, and innovation in the Gulf and Middle East region.
• Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and ethical reporting.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, meet deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom, and collaborate across editorial and production teams.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are highly beneficial.
