Waiter/Waitress

About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to provide professional food and beverage service. This full-time role involves ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests by adhering to InterContinental Hotels & Resorts standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve guests during breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet, and à la carte services.
• Prepare tables and service stations in accordance with hotel standards.
• Present menus and provide accurate information regarding selections, specials, promotions, ingredients, allergens, and dietary needs.
• Take orders using the POS system and serve food and beverages according to established service standards and sequence.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests, recognize VIPs and returning guests, and provide personalized attention.
• Recommend items and promotions, applying upselling techniques where appropriate.
• Coordinate with the Culinary team on order preparation, special requests, and dietary requirements.
• Present bills, handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and replenish service materials.
• Handle complaints professionally, escalate unresolved issues, and report any operational, maintenance, or safety concerns.
• Attend briefings, meetings, training sessions, and menu tastings.
• Adhere to hotel policies, brand standards, and all health and safety requirements.

Service Standards

• Comply with all food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain grooming, personal hygiene, and uniform standards as per IHG policies.
