About the Role

HungerStation, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Senior Product Design Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves defining and driving product design strategy, ensuring design excellence, and leading a team of Product Designers to deliver impactful customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive product design strategy aligned with HungerStation’s product and business priorities.
• Translate complex customer and business problems into simple, scalable experiences.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape product strategy and roadmaps.
• Advocate for customer-centric decision-making across the organization.
• Identify experience gaps and opportunities across the end-to-end customer journey.
• Own and continuously raise the quality bar across HungerStation’s digital experiences.
• Provide design direction and oversight across multiple product domains.
• Establish clear design principles, patterns, and standards for a consistent HungerStation experience.
• Lead the evolution and adoption of HungerStation’s design system.
• Establish effective design reviews, design QA, and experience-quality processes.
• Ensure Design is involved early in discovery and strategic product decisions.
• Ensure research, customer feedback, behavioral data, usability testing, and experimentation inform design decisions.
• Encourage teams to validate assumptions early and continuously improve experiences after launch.
• Partner with Product and Data to measure design impact through conversion, engagement, adoption, retention, customer satisfaction, and usability.
• Ensure Design is accountable for measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Research, Commercial, Marketing, and Operations.
• Facilitate alignment around customer problems, priorities, and solutions.
• Present design strategy and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
• Manage conflicting priorities and influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Stay engaged through implementation to ensure the intended customer experience is delivered.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Product Designers.
• Set clear expectations around ownership, quality, collaboration, and customer impact.
• Develop designers’ product thinking, craft, business understanding, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Support recruitment, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Build a culture of ownership, constructive feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate direct reports, and provide regular feedback.
• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for the function.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor workflow.
• Provide opportunities for team members to suggest, participate in, and contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Governance

• Contribute to the development and execution of the Division’s ABCs and OKRs, ensuring alignment with other Functions' heads.
• Make critical decisions that support the Division’s strategic and tactical direction.
• Establish plans for respective functions/teams and provide inputs that support the Division’s goals and objectives.
• Distribute tactical responsibilities effectively to potential leaders to improve organizational succession readiness.
• Measure and track relevant OKRs and metrics to ensure goal achievement and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes for daily work to be carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices.
• Uphold a high-performance working environment and promote HungerStation’s values.

Budget Management

• Manage and own the budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process.
• Ensure effective utilization of the function's budget and report accurately on progress and challenges.
• Investigate and propose implementing strategies that result in a positive financial impact for HungerStation.
• Manage reporting departments effectively within budget and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
• Formulate strategies that result in a positive financial impact for HungerStation and aim to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in product design leadership.
