Job Summary

BIG Academy is seeking two qualified and technically proficient IT Faculty members to deliver high-quality teaching across Computing, Programming, Software Development, Mobile Application Development, Web Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

The ideal candidates should possess strong practical knowledge of relevant technologies and the ability to translate technical concepts into engaging, application-oriented learning experiences. The role involves teaching theoretical and practical modules, guiding students through assignments and projects, conducting assessments, and contributing to curriculum development and academic quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and workshops in Computing and IT-related subjects.
• Teach programming, software development, mobile application development, web design and development, database management, AI, and data science, based on expertise.
• Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, coding activities, and project-based learning materials.
• Demonstrate the practical application of programming languages, development frameworks, data analysis libraries, and relevant software tools.
• Guide students in developing web applications, mobile applications, database solutions, and data-driven projects.
• Introduce students to AI and machine learning concepts, data analysis techniques, and emerging technologies.
• Design and evaluate assignments, practical assessments, projects, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and performance, and provide appropriate academic support.
• Maintain academic records, grades, and attendance through institutional SIS and LMS platforms.
• Ensure compliance with curriculum requirements, academic regulations, assessment procedures, and quality standards.
• Contribute to curriculum enhancement, assessment moderation, faculty development, and institutional academic activities.
• Stay updated with current technologies, development tools, and industry practices relevant to Computing and IT.
• Undertake additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by Academic Management.

Skills

· Academic Qualification: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

· Programming and Data Science: Practical proficiency in Python, including libraries such as NumPy and pandas for numerical computing, data manipulation, and analysis.

· AI and Machine Learning: Knowledge of AI and machine learning fundamentals, data preprocessing, model development, and relevant Python-based tools.

· Mobile Application Development: Knowledge of Kotlin and experience in Android or other mobile application development technologies and frameworks.

· Web Design and Development: Skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive web design, front-end development, and relevant web development frameworks.

· Database Technologies: Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, database design, data modelling, normalization, queries, and database management systems.

· Software Development: Understanding of software development principles, application design, debugging, testing, version control, and project development practices.

· Practical Technical Skills: Ability to develop and demonstrate working applications, coding exercises, database solutions, and data analysis projects.

· Teaching and Communication: Strong presentation, classroom delivery, technical explanation, and student engagement skills.

· Assessment and Mentoring: Ability to evaluate practical assignments, guide student projects, identify learning gaps, and provide constructive feedback.

· Digital Learning Tools: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and educational technologies.

· Professional Attributes: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, organization, adaptability, and commitment to continuous professional development.

· Industry Awareness: Ability to integrate current technologies, practical case studies, and industry-relevant applications into teaching.
