About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor Litigation to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing specialized legal advice and managing litigation matters, disputes, and legal proceedings to protect the Bank's legal and financial interests.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure effective representation of Riyad Bank before judicial authorities and maintain compliance with applicable Saudi laws and regulations. The Senior Legal Advisor will play a key role in mitigating legal risks and strengthening legal governance within the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with relevant legal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing litigation and dispute resolution.
• Support the development and enhancement of litigation management procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Manage assigned litigation cases and legal disputes, ensuring timely actions, proper documentation, and effective coordination with stakeholders.
• Monitor case developments, court deadlines, and legal proceedings to ensure appropriate and timely responses.
• Oversee litigation cases involving the Bank before competent courts, judicial committees, and relevant authorities.
• Prepare and review legal pleadings, statements of defense, appeals, legal memoranda, and supporting documentation.
• Represent the Bank in legal proceedings, where authorized, and coordinate with external legal counsel as required.
• Evaluate litigation risks, assess potential legal exposure, and recommend appropriate legal strategies.
• Provide legal advice on banking disputes, commercial claims, debt recovery, and enforcement proceedings.
• Review court judgments and decisions, advise on their implications, and follow up on appeals and enforcement actions.
• Support negotiations and settlement discussions to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting the Bank's interests.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather evidence, review contractual obligations, and develop appropriate legal positions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant legal experience is required.
• Proven experience in litigation management and dispute resolution.
• Strong understanding of Saudi laws and regulations.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a professional banking environment.
