Job Description

We are recruiting experienced Tekla Designers / Structural Steel Detailers for an excellent international career opportunity in Ireland.

The successful candidates will be responsible for developing detailed 3D structural steel models, preparing fabrication drawings and supporting the engineering and fabrication teams throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.

• Prepare fabrication, general arrangement and assembly drawings.

• Generate bills of materials (BOMs), cutting lists and bolt lists.

• Interpret structural and architectural engineering drawings.

• Identify design discrepancies and coordination issues.

• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and fabrication teams.

• Apply knowledge of bolted and welded steel connections.

• Ensure drawings comply with relevant industry standards and quality requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Tekla Designer, Steel Detailer or Tekla Technician.

• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures.

• Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Good understanding of steel detailing standards and practices.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Advance Steel or Revit will be an advantage.

• Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
