About the Role
SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Quality Inspector to conduct on-site inspections for road construction projects. This full-time role involves ensuring that all materials and workmanship adhere to project specifications, relevant codes, and established standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect various road construction activities, including earthworks, subgrade, granular sub-base (GSB), sub-base, and asphalt.
Verify construction materials against approved specifications and test results to ensure compliance.
Maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports and checklists.
Coordinate with contractors to address and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and facilitate improvements in workmanship.
Participate in joint inspections with client and consultant representatives.
Ensure strict adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and project Quality Control (QC) procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Candidates should possess 3 to 7 years of Quality Control experience specifically within road or highway projects.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills are essential for this role.
