THE PRODUCT
Vision Mate is a lightweight module that clips onto any standard eyeglass frame. An embedded camera captures the scene in front of a blind user — text, people, obstacles — and describes it aloud in real time. Hands-free. No phone in hand.
A cane tells you where the ground is. A guide dog gets you around an obstacle. Neither one tells you what is actually in front of you.
WHERE IT STANDS
Patent filed with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SA 1020255987), currently in substantive examination. Trademark registration in process. Market validated in Saudi Arabia.
What does not exist yet is the working device. That is what this role is.
THE ENGINEERING PROBLEM
Running vision models on a small, power-constrained device with latency the user experiences as instant- Keeping the device fully useful when connectivity is weak or absent — on-device inference, not cloud-dependent- A real trade-off between description quality and battery life- Audio output that is informative without being overwhelming WHO I AM LOOKING FOR
Computer vision / ML engineer, or embedded systems engineer- Has shipped something that actually runs on hardware — not papers, not demos that only work on a laptop- Comfortable with edge inference: quantization, model optimization, ARM / Jetson / similar- Wants ownership in a venture, not a contract THE TERMS — CLEAR FROM THE START
What I bring: the patent, the trademark in process, the business and go-to-market side, operating experience and a network in Saudi Arabia.
What you bring: the technical build, and the funding for the prototype stage. Funding will not come from my side.
Equity split and terms are open to discussion and will reflect what each side actually contributes.

المطلوب: مهندس رؤية حاسوبية أو أنظمة مدمجة، بنى سابقاً شيئاً يعمل فعلياً على جهاز.
ما أقدّمه: البراءة، والعلامة التجارية قيد التسجيل، وإدارة الأعمال والتسويق، وشبكة علاقات في السعودية.
المطلوب من الشريك: البناء التقني وتمويل مرحلة النموذج الأولي.
