Job Summary
Oncology Registered Nurse
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Oncology Nursing.
- Experience in chemotherapy administration oncology inpatient care hematology-oncology radiation oncology or palliative oncology is preferred.
- Dataflow verification is mandatory.
- Saudi nursing license (SCFHS) is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Job Responsibilities
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized care plans for oncology patients.
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy immunotherapy targeted therapy and supportive treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions ensuring timely intervention and escalation when required.
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in inpatient outpatient day-care and infusion settings.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication records.
- Monitor and document vital signs laboratory results and patient progress.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis treatment plans medication management symptom control and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with oncologists pharmacists radiation therapists palliative care teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records nursing documentation and treatment charts.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention chemotherapy handling and patient safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the cancer treatment journey.
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care arrangements.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
