The role involves critical evaluation of academic manuscripts to ensure quality and integrity in scientific publishing.
Role Responsibilities

Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, determining if they contribute new knowledge or insights to the field.
Evaluate the study design and methodology for appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity to ensure reproducibility.
Review the literature to confirm that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
Analyze results and conclusions to verify clear and appropriate presentation, and to ensure conclusions are supported by data and significant to the field.
Provide constructive feedback, suggesting improvements and highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
Recommend publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) to the journal editor based on a comprehensive evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

A PhD is required for this peer review position.
Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Thermodynamics.
