What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the process engineering and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of process engineering specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical land practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
Education & Qualifications Accreditation Training
- A recognized and relevant engineering degree.
Preferred:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering management project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the Process Engineering discipline team.
- Provide technical direction and leadership to EPC Contractors
- Coordinate closely with the iPMT Process Engineering organization and other project disciplines.
- Coordinate with Operations technical departments Contractors and Licensors to resolve technical issues.
Process Design and Technical Assurance
- Review and coordinate process engineering deliverables prepared by EPC Contractors and Licensors.
- Ensure designs are optimized and comply with applicable codes standards and industry best practices.
- Monitor process engineering execution against the Engineering Execution Strategy and approved procedures.
- Resolve process-related technical issues that may affect project execution.
- Review and approve key process engineering deliverables including:
- Process Design Basis
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Heat & Material Balances
- Utility Balances
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Operating Philosophies
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Process Control Narratives
- Flare Design Basis
- Relief and Depressurization Studies - Hydraulic Calculations
- Ensure process deliverables are developed and issued in line with project schedules and technical requirements.
Stakeholder and Interface Management
- Serve as the primary iPMT focal point for Process Engineering matters among the Owner EPC Contractors Licensors and third-party certification agencies.
- Manage technical interfaces and support resolution of multidisciplinary engineering proper process integration across all facilities and battery limits including:
- PDH Unit
- Polypropylene Unit
- Utilities Systems
- Offsites
- Tank Farm Facilities
- Flare Systems
- Feedstock Systems
- Product Export Systems
- Interconnecting Facilities
- Manage integration of utility consumption and generation requirements including steam condensate cooling water nitrogen instrument air electrical systems fuel gas and flare systems.
- Support development of a systemization philosophy aligned with precommissioning and commissioning objectives.
- Ensure interfaces between Licensors and the EPC Contractor are clearly defined coordinated and properly managed.
- Lead multidisciplinary reviews to maintain process consistency across engineering disciplines.
- Verify that interfaces with existing NATPET facilities external utilities and third-party infrastructure are fully addressed.
Process Safety & Risk Management
- Lead implementation of process safety management principles through design procurement construction commissioning startup and operations readiness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable process safety standards and industry best practices.
- Lead the identification assessment and mitigation of process-related risks.
- Ensure consequence modelling relief studies flare studies dispersion analyses fire protection studies and safety assessments are completed and incorporated into the design.
- Maintain the Process Safety Risk Register and align it with the Project Master Risk Register.
- Provide technical recommendations for risk mitigation and design improvements.
Process Design Review/Process Safety Workshops
- Facilitate and manage P&ID reviews HAZOP studies Process Safety Reviews Design Safety Reviews SIL assessments LOPA studies and constructability and operational readiness reviews.
- Participate actively throughout the engineering procurement construction and commissioning phases.
- Promote process safety culture and HSSEQ awareness.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with Owner requirements international HSE standards and local regulations.
- Track HAZOP SIL LOPA and safety study recommendations through closure and ensure they are incorporated into the design.
- Monitor approved safety recommendation implementation and report progress to Project Management.
- Ensure instrumented safeguards shutdown philosophies and safety-critical systems meet the required integrity levels.
- Verify implementation of Owner HSSEQ requirements across EPC Contractors.
- Conduct periodic audits of Process Engineering activities and identify improvement opportunities
