Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Quality Control (QC) Inspector to monitor, inspect, and document construction activities for compliance with the project’s quality standards. The ideal candidate must have at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a PMC environment, and demonstrate strong knowledge of quality control practices, construction materials, and international standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and random inspections of site activities, materials, and installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
- Ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and document quality performance of contractors and subcontractors.
- Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
- Assist in material receiving inspections to confirm compliance with approved material submittals and technical specifications.
- Participate in regular site audits and provide support during internal and external quality assessments.
- Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, site engineers, and construction supervisors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare daily QC inspection reports and update the QC tracking system.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality control in construction.
- Solid knowledge of construction techniques, materials, codes, and quality assurance standards.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO 9001, etc.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Strong documentation, observation, and communication skills.
