Cost Controller

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our organizations financial resources ensuring efficient cost management across all departments.

• Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement
• Analyze financial data prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights to management for decision-making
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels
• Monitor and report on budget variances recommending corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets
• Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and local regulations
• Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
• Participate in forecasting and long-term financial planning processes
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments
• Provide training and guidance to staff on cost control procedures and best practices

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Diploma in a relevant field may be considered with extensive experience)
• Proven experience in cost control financial management or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and financial analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
• Experience with financial management software and inventory systems (e.g. Futurelog Opera)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and practices (preferred)
• Professional certification such as CMA or CIMA (preferred)
