Automotive Marketing Director

The Automotive Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy for the automotive business, driving brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and commercial growth across all business lines.
The role leads marketing planning, campaign development, digital transformation, customer experience initiatives, and brand positioning while ensuring alignment with the company's commercial objectives and manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, sales targets, and brand positioning.
Brand Management: Lead brand positioning and ensure consistent application of brand identity, communication standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Campaign Management: Plan and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across ATL, BTL, digital, social media, CRM, and experiential channels.
Digital Marketing: Drive digital marketing strategy, performance marketing, online presence, and lead-generation initiatives.
Customer Acquisition: Develop initiatives to increase qualified leads, showroom traffic, test drives, conversions, and customer retention.
Product & Launch Marketing: Lead marketing plans for new vehicle launches, model updates, campaigns, and commercial offers.
Customer Experience: Develop marketing initiatives that enhance customer engagement and strengthen the overall automotive customer journey.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer behavior, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
Marketing Budget: Manage the marketing budget, optimize spending, and measure ROI across marketing activities.
Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the marketing team while managing external agencies and strategic partners.
Performance Analytics: Establish KPIs and regularly analyze campaign performance, lead quality, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and overall marketing ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Aftersales, Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure integrated commercial and customer-focused initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
A Master's degree/MBA is a plus.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant experience in the automotive industry and at least 3–5 years in a senior marketing leadership role.
Automotive Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive retail, dealer operations, customer journeys, vehicle launches, lead generation, and automotive market dynamics.
Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that deliver measurable commercial results.
Digital Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital marketing, performance marketing, CRM, social media, SEO/SEM, content, and marketing analytics.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of sales funnels, customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and marketing ROI.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading marketing teams, agencies, and multiple stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret market data, campaign performance, customer insights, and financial metrics to drive decisions.
Communication: Excellent English communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Budget Management: Experience managing significant marketing budgets and optimizing marketing investment based on business performance.
