Key Responsibilities Capital Investment Evaluation Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies for equipment upgrades, production line expansions, automation projects, and manufacturing modernization initiatives. Support CAPEX planning and investment prioritization based on operational needs and business objectives. Financial Analysis & Business Case Development Develop robust financial models to assess proposed investments using methodologies such as NPV, IRR, Payback Period, and ROI analysis. Prepare business cases and investment recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders. Asset Lifecycle & Cost Optimization Evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for manufacturing assets, considering acquisition costs, maintenance requirements, energy consumption, reliability performance, and expected asset lifespan. Support repair-versus-replace decisions through technical and financial assessments. Asset Reliability & Performance Analysis Analyze equipment performance, maintenance history, and operational efficiency to identify opportunities for asset optimization and productivity improvements. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to maximize asset utilization and long-term value. Risk Assessment & Decision Support Assess technical, operational, and financial risks associated with aging equipment, deferred maintenance, and capital investment decisions. Translate engineering risks into financial impact assessments to support executive decision-making. Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement Participate in strategic manufacturing, expansion, and operational excellence projects. Benchmark technologies and industry best practices to support innovation and competitiveness.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.4–6 years of experience in project engineering, asset management, maintenance engineering, CAPEX planning, or technical investment analysis within an industrial manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of financial evaluation techniques including NPV, IRR, ROI, Cash Flow Analysis, Depreciation, and Payback Period calculations. Experience in equipment lifecycle management, asset reliability, and capital project evaluation. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Strong analytical, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills. MBA, CMA, FMVA, PMP, or a certification in Finance, Asset Management, or Project Management is an advantage.
