We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Operations Director to lead and oversee our operational and production activities across Cairo, Qena, and other governorates where the organization operates.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple sites, ensuring operational excellence, productivity, quality, efficiency, accountability, and alignment with our development mission and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities• Lead and develop the organization’s overall operations strategy.• Oversee multiple production and operational sites across different governorates.• Lead production managers, site managers, supervisors, and operational teams.• Develop operational plans, production plans, KPIs, and performance targets.• Monitor productivity, quality, efficiency, costs, and resource utilization.• Drive process improvement and operational efficiency.• Build high-performing teams and develop second-line leadership.• Ensure effective coordination with HR, Finance, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, M&E, and Program teams.• Manage operational risks, quality, health & safety, security, and maintenance standards.• Conduct regular field visits and provide senior management with operational reports and recommendations.• Lead operational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification:-Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.• Significant experience in senior operations or production leadership.• Proven experience managing multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams.• Strong background in development work, NGOs, social enterprises, manufacturing, handicrafts, community development, or similar sectors is highly preferred.• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Development Studies, or a related field.• Strong experience in operational planning, KPI management, budgeting, performance management, and process improvement.• Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.• Strong executive presence and leadership maturity.• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable.• Willingness and ability to travel frequently between Cairo, Qena, and other operational locations.
