Role Description: The Credit Investigation Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing credit assessment and investigation activities for existing and prospective clients. This position manages the evaluation of creditworthiness through detailed financial analysis, background checks, and verification of documentation, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards. The supervisor leads a team of credit investigators, assigns and reviews cases, and guides complex credit situations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring credit exposure, coordinating with finance, risk, and leasing teams, and recommending credit limits or terms based on findings. The role also involves preparing reports for management, supporting debt collection strategies, and contributing to continuous improvement of credit processes and controls.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.

5–8 years of experience in Credit Investigation or Field Investigation within SME Banking, SME Finance, Leasing, Factoring, or Microfinance.

Hands-on experience with I-Score, ACP/CBE inquiries, and credit verification processes.

Experience conducting field visits, business verification, and market investigations.

Strong analytical and report-writing skills.

Good communication and interviewing skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct credit investigations for new and existing SME customers.

Verify customer documents, legal information, and business activities.

Perform ACP/CBE and I-Score inquiries and analyze findings.

Conduct field visits and market checks with customers, suppliers, and business references.

Contact banks and financing institutions to verify customers’ repayment behavior when required.

Prepare comprehensive investigation reports to support credit decision-making.

Maintain investigation records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
